All about Science fun

What would life be without the magic of science?
Our children love everything about science! So, what could be better than dedicating our first full week of our Summer Enrichment program to science experiments? And what fun did we have….
Physical Science
Our toddlers attended a Mad Science Assembly with our famous Mad Scientist Ladybug. They were watching experiments using dry ice, water and color. What happens when dry ice is added to the colored water? Lots and lots of bubbles and foam spilling out of the glass container. The children watched and watched, and some of our toddlers wanted to touch the foam, others watched in awe of the experiment.
Our preschool students enjoyed Mad Science workshops in their individual classrooms. They kept on mixing different colors to create new colors. The most fascinating effect of the workshop was the effect light has on the colors we see. And best of all, our friends were able to take their own rainbow color glasses home! They are truly magic glasses!
Forensic Science
We also had one of our parent volunteers share her profession as a Forensic Scientist. Our preschool friends were amazed to find out how all our fingerprints are different. They were able to view patterns of fingerprints, some with circle shapes, others with just lines. The children used magnifying glasses to examine their own fingers. After their examination and the demonstration, the children could not wait to do their own fingerprints to find out what their own patterns were.
Providing these exciting enrichment activities to our children allows us to create new experiences for them. We love to stimulate their curiosity and desire to know more. And, we definitely achieved our goal!
